How large/heavy are the Nuns? Each Nun is individually made by hand, is approximately 10 inches tall and weighs approx. 8oz. or 150g depending on accessories.
Are all Nuns exactly as pictured? All attempts are made to keep the Nuns consistent but at times, the accessories will change in size, colour, or dimensions due to availability. Since each Nun is individually handmade, no two can be exactly alike. Careful attention to detail ensures a quality product every time. The positioning of the hands may differ from one sister to another due to the construction process.
What are the shipping charges? Shipping to destinations outside of Canada may be subject to taxes and import duties specific to your country. All payments for these charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Exact shipping costs will be calculated based on your location, the size and weight of items ordered, and the specific service you request during the checkout process. It will be added to your total invoice amount.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Please email before placing your order so that we can determine the best shipping option for you. Airmail service will be an additional charge overseas, and this can be arranged so that you do not have to wait as long to receive your item.

The cost of shipping in the U.S. and Canada is as follows:

Sale CDN$ Value $0. - $5. $5.01 - $19.99 $20.00 - $59.99 $60.00 - $79.99 $80.00 - $200.00 $200.01 +
Shipping Charge $1.50 $3.00 $8.00 $10.00 $15.00 + $20.00 +
What happens if an overcharge occurs in shipping charges? If there is an overcharge for shipping/handling your particular order, a refund will be sent to you for the difference. This could occur in the following situations...
1. a multiple order of cards...  The shipping amount is based on dollar amounts, and because shipping $25.00 worth of cards weighs less than the "Nun doll", there will be a difference in the actual shipping cost. For this reason, it is suggested that you email info@nunofakind.com with your card order, and a "Paypal" invoice will be sent out to your email address to process the transaction.
2. Currently, "Nun" purchases can be processed on at a time (Buy Now) through this site. Should you wish to purchase more than one figure, please email the site to receive a "Paypal" invoice, which will modify shipping charges for a multiple order.
Are shipments insured? Each package is insured for up to $100 by Canada Post. In the event of loss or damage, a claim must be filed with Canada Post. At this time we are only able to ship items within Canada and the United States.

American customers please be advised that we are not responsible for any duty, taxes, or other fees that may be imposed by U.S. customs or your government.

How soon will my order arrive? Canadian orders will be shipped by expedited post, and depending on the area, should arrive in 2-5 business days.
Orders shipped to the United States are shipped "airmail", and should arrive in 7-10 business days...often sooner, depending on USPS.

All orders outside of Canada may be delayed by the respective government of the receiver.

Are the Nuns suitable as children's toys? No! The Nuns contain small parts and are intended as decorative items. They are not suitable as a child's toy.
Are all Nuns available as greeting cards? No. Currently there are only 15 Nuns available as cards.  All of the Nun images show them in their "Natural Habitat" depending on their specific activity. The greeting cards are available to complete the picture. The name of the appropriate Nun in included on the back of the card. All cards are blank inside unless otherwise noted.
Do the Greeting Cards have printing on the front? No. The only text on the cards appears on the back of  the card. The text that is seen on this site is for web use only.
Can I get a special custom made Nun? Of course! We can create custom Nuns to your specifications... within limits. Please contact us at info@nunofakind.com for further information.
What are the Nuns constructed of? The Nuns are all created from new materials. They may contain - wool felt, polyester stuffing, hand painted features, adhesives, and plastics.
How do I clean my Nun? A sticky type of lint brush works well. Just roll it over the figure to keep the habit looking its best.
Where do the proceeds for the 'Charity Ornaments' go? The entire price (less taxes) generated by the sale of these ornaments becomes a part of the yearly donation made to either The Breast Cancer Society of Canada (Janet's Snowfolk) OR to The Victorian Order of Nurses (Evelyn's Angel) Sarnia, Lambton Branch for Palliative Care.
